Healing & Revealing

When we are broken in body, soul, or spirit, we can bring ourselves to God, and He will begin the healing work within us. This is a tender time, and it can be a stretched-out season, often called a wilderness. We will sense our deep need for our soul to be restored and our hope to be resurrected.

In that wilderness season, our attention is undivided, often because we may be walking alone or feeling like it. We easily get consumed with what we know apart from God — our pain, lack, and a myriad of opinions; we miss out on the unsearchable greatness of God. Those eternal secrets that intimacy reveals with time, proximity, and humility. And instead of being overwhelmed with cares, we will be filled to overflow with His Spirit of truth and peace, reminding us of God’s mercy, goodness, and everlasting faithfulness.

In the process of unpacking all our losses and griefs in His presence, we may feel empty of all the good things. As we surrender to His care, God will heal us and reveal things to us. He will reveal all the good things for our triune well-being—for our spirit, soul, and body—and they will restore us.

Call to me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know. – Jeremiah 33:3

Call to me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know. – Jeremiah 33:3

By the river on its bank, on one side and on the other, will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither and their fruit will not fail. They will bear every month because their water flows from the sanctuary, and their fruit will be for food and their leaves for healing. — Ezekiel‬ ‭47‬:‭12‬

— Ezequiel 47:12

No Shadow of Turning

S

hadows shift constantly, but I remain the same. I change not. You can trust Me to always be steady. You have been created by God, who is trustworthy, faithful, and true. There is no shifting shadow within Me. I am light and I will never change. I cannot lie, therefore I always tell the truth. My word is the truth. Everything that pours from My mouth is timeless. It was for yesterday, it’s for today, and it will be for tomorrow, because I remain the same always. Man is shifty and changes. He is fickle and unsteady, but you can always rely on Me. You don’t have to run to another for answers because I hold the entire counsel you need. Come and learn from Me. My words are life and freedom for your soul.

This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. —‭‭1 John‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬ ‭NASB

Every gift God freely gives us is good and perfect, streaming down from the Father of lights, who shines from the heavens with no hidden shadow or darkness and is never subject to change. —James 1‬:‭17‬ ‭TPT‬‬

as sombras cambian constantemente, pero yo sigo siendo el mismo. Yo no cambio.

—1 Juan 1:5 LBLA

Stay Focused to Fly

Y

ou are weary, and you are hurt, my dear child. This causes you to recoil into a ball, but I want you free as a bird. I will take care of all of your adversaries. I need you to stay focused on staying close to me. Protect your heart by remaining rooted in me. Soak your soul in my river, and feel its nourishment rise within you. Hydrate with my living waters. Don’t drink from broken cisterns. The waters of this world are polluted and will keep you desperate for more. Satiate yourself with me. I am the well that does not run dry. You will fly as free as a bird above all your cares when you’re filled with everything good that I have for you. Seek the fresh waters always. They will be the dew of the morning to start your days refreshed and content – ready to ascend into the heights.

Therefore, as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude. —Colossians‬ ‭2‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭NASB

For My people have committed two evils: They have abandoned Me, the fountain of living waters, to carve out for themselves cisterns, broken cisterns that do not hold water. —Jeremiah‬ ‭2‬:‭13‬ ‭NASB

May my teaching drip as the rain, My speech trickle as the dew, As droplets on the fresh grass, And as the showers on the vegetation. —Deuteronomy‬ ‭32‬:‭2‬ ‭NASB

E

—Deuteronomio 32:2 LBLA

Son-rising

We are overwhelmingly aware of all sorts of things. Today’s technological advances have aided the delivery of despairing news from all around the world—tragedies, threats of war, and terrorism that attempt to consume us. It camps in our mind, affects our behaviors and influences our words. The darkness that surrounds us is thick. The darkness within, even thicker. It often feels like nothing can penetrate this oppression.

Yet, there is hope.

Matthew 2:1-2 says that at the time of Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem of Judea, wise men from the east saw Jesus’ star rising in the sky. There was a star rising but it wasn’t an earthly star. It was the bright and morning star.

The Son was rising.

These wise men were following ‘His’ star in the night sky. They were used to that. God spoke to them in a way they understood. These spiritual priests or advisors were also known as magi, experts in astronomy, astrology, and natural science. But on that grand day when Jesus was born, God led them to the most glorious Light the earth has ever known. And it wasn’t the star in the sky. They were led to Jesus Himself, the hope for a world caught in the throes of darkness.

Jesus is …

The star that ushers hope into our broken and desperate souls.

The star that reveals the authority of truth amidst the tyranny of confusion.

The star that heals with His presence as torment releases its grip.

The magi witnessed for themselves that the true Light of the world had come. The sun, the moon and the stars paled in comparison to the Light that dispels spiritual darkness. By nature, Jesus’ life brings hope, healing, and the revelation of truth.

When His Light comes, darkness must flee.

Darkness is hard at work being what it is. Darkness doesn’t understand how to be light. All it knows, lives and breathes is darkness—an oppressive darkness that keeps us blind and chained. But, take heart. Even if there is devastation and destruction all around you, the Son is rising with healing in His wings.

The Son is rising in the hearts of many seekers.

If you’ve been looking to the lesser lights of this world for counsel and comfort and still feel darkness nipping at your heels, all you have to do is allow the true Light to enter your heart. His Light will shine in you and through you.

The Hebrew name for Jesus is Yeshua, which means, “the Lord is salvation.”

Reach out for Him in faith, even in the midst of darkness.

Your rescuer is near.
